11 boosters, which kept me going on during my drive in Tata Nano Super Drive2…

It ain’t a easy job traveling around in a car or for that matter in any other mode of transport for close to 30+ days across 5000 kms pushing our way through heat, dust, rain and even one of the most remote places where you don’t have signal for your mobile phone too… But there are 11 reasons that kept me going on like booster shots.

Booster no. 01 – Nano Superdrive 2 branded Nano Boys…

In fact when I was traveling in our Nano boys many of my friends, my family members and even the customers asked me are you really traveling in the Nano cars or are you taking any other mode of transport between cities. My simple answer was until you don’t believe in yourself, how will the world believe in you same way when I don’t believe in our Nano boys how will I be able to interact with customers and believe what they share about Nano. Right na?! The spacious interior of Nano car and its super powered AC along with the SD Card reader cum radio kept me going during the entire route. Even though we traveled around 400kms+ in the same day, I was as fresh as I was before the start of the entire drive.

Booster no. 02 – Technical support team from Tata Motors for the entire route…

As a traveler and explorer, when I travel long distances my first thing would be doing an entire route research checking out the route map, location of petrol bunks, places where I can rest if too tired traveling and even places where I can find clean food and clean water. But I guess, I didn’t have to do that during this trip of Tata Nano Superdrive 2 with our Nano duo because of the simple confidence of the technical support team. The technical support team that tagged along with our Nano boys the entire route was not only experts in mechanical and technical but they even knew inch by inch of the entire route which the places where we would get good food, petrol including areas where there wouldn’t be any mobile network. Man, they weren’t just good they were the best.

Booster no. 03 - The production and operations team…

Even though it was traveling back to back with living out of our suitcase and sleeping at different hotels every other day with foods varying from basic food like curd rice to biryani, my team never ever complained nor did they ever have a grin on their faces. They were always ready for any kind of a situation and would work for more than 18 hours a day to make sure customers have the best of the experiences. Even though they had only around 4 hours for their peaceful sleep they cared less for their comfort and cared a lot for the success of the entire event. Really hats off to those warriors who fought nothing less than the Spartans in “300” movie….

Booster no. 04 - Territory Managers, Tata Motors Passenger Cars Segment

With every city and every district changing even the territory managers handling the events used to change. However, I had seen that their commitment towards their work was not just about doing their jobs right but living it up. They had not only helped our team in getting things sorted out on time and even they used to spend a lot of time with me explaining how the idea of Nano came into existence and sharing the history behind Nano’s creation. I would really take this opportunity to thank Three such great TMs of Tata Motors Gopi Krishna G, Sandeep Reddy and Kiran Kumar who had taken extra efforts in helping me speak to few customers who weren’t that interested in sharing their experiences as well as they shared their best moments with Nano and its customers too. I had got a lot of information, which I was able to share through my previous blogs from these three great guys… Thank you all TMs once again.

Booster no. 05 – Graffiti Boards filled with customers love towards Nano…

Every city my team was supposed to put a huge banner in the event where customers would go ahead and write as to why that city/town loves Nano. In the beginning, I thought people wouldn’t be much interested to write their feelings about Nano on a banner because we as public are only used to signing on them because of the different signature campaigns for either well wishing our crickets or max to max when some crime case takes over the nation with surprise to get the criminal a harsh punishment. But our Nano customers didn’t leave even a inch empty on those banners and poured their love and emotions on to the banner through the permanent markers given to them.

Booster no. 06 – Customer experiences…

It’s always great to see when ones invention becomes another’s daily necessity. Mr. Ratan Tata had this simple idea of creating a car, which would make every man’s dream of owning a car; a reality. I could see this in the eyes of the Nano owners when I met them during the carnival. It would be really difficult for me to show it in pictures but every easy to express in words as I have only seen smiles on the faces of these customers and their families. In fact smile would be a smaller way of expression and pride in their eyes would be the right word to be used, I guess.

Booster no. 07 – Rally of Nano Cars…

May it be driving in the rally in the city during carnival or driving in the rally of Nano duo with tech support vehicles on the highway traveling from one city to another, it has always made the customers and I feel really specially. How many of us in our daily route life would ever get a chance like this? To feel really special and traveling the way politicians travel in their convoys. Our Nano rally was nothing less than a convoy as we used to take permission from the local government authorities to make sure there is no hindrance in any way caused to the general public and the same time get special permissions where the traffic is stopped for a maximum of 60 seconds for the convoy to clear that signal. I would really miss that feel from today onwards because I am now back to the life of simple and common man who is treated as one amongst the many.

Booster no. 08 – The historic places and the locations…

We regularly travel to places, which either have a historical meaning, and places to see or to places where you could just sit back and relax for a vacation. I have always been traveling to places where it is all about sitting back and relaxing, however with Nano Superdrive 2 I got a chance to travel to the various historic places and check them out. Even though I have traveled around a lot in southern part of India, still I have always been missing out on visiting this amazing historic places like Madurai Meenakshi temple, Tirupati temple, one of the longest railyway and road bridges in India on Godavari river, Warangal fort and Thousand pillar temple. But with this trip I was able to explore such places with our Nano duo. It was really a dream come true for me and truly my happiness had no boundaries.

Booster no. 09 – The local cuisines…

Being a food fanatic and chef by educational qualifications, I always get pulled towards food the minute my nose picks up the scent or my vision falls on the food. May be it vada pav or nawabi kababs doesn’t matter; I would love to try anything that is edible. And, this entire route was so diverse that I could taste the best of the cuisine ranging from Tamilnadu’s world famous Idli Sambhar to Nawabi Biryanis with basic yet world renowned mouthwatering Andhra meals. Every day was a new day with new cuisines to try out and freak out on the essence of the place.

Booster no. 10 – Indian Infrastructure…

Our travel was over 5000kms over two states with 11 cities to stop and hundreds of towns and villages to cross by. And the thing that kept us going; was the infrastructure, which India has moved up to. Even though people have been traveling for ages and moved on from bullock carts to trains to flights to even using personal cars for long distance travel. All this has only been possible because of the infrastructure improvement in India ranging from muddy tracks moving up to the standards of express highways and roadside dhabas converting into cafes and restaurants with AC and clean environment. It would be have been really difficult if things wouldn’t have improved over years.

Booster no. 11 – Nano Mileage…

Last but not at all the least booster, Nano mileage. As we traveled through the summer in few of the hottest places present in India as of today, if we didn’t use AC would have really got toasted and roasted during the entire road trip. But with such great mileage of Nano we never cared about the fuel consumption as it always gave us the best mileage and probably could say has even beaten few of the best cars in the world when it comes to mileage with the cars AC is on and speeds far away from economical speed. In this one month, the petrol prices had increased twice and moved up from INR 63 to INR 71 still it didn’t hurt us much as it was mere pinch all thanks to Nano’s great mileage.

These 11 aren’t the only boosters, which kept me going, but they are one of the best boosters.....

"Inception"

Dreams – A reality which doesn’t exist in the world apart from in our mind, and where one doesn’t have control on it. It’s a “chemical locha” in our minds when we are fast asleep.

Till date I experienced quite a number of times different kinds of dreams where I encountered horrifying, scary, sweet, lovely, exciting and some times even “W..” dreams(LOL…); however whenever I wake up I hardly remember the entire dream or sometimes don’t even remember what was the dream all about…

However, have you ever thought of creating your own dream, going where you have never been before, meeting new people, checking out new destinations? Just at the thought of it, I was very excited and now “Fosters” gave me a chance to go ahead and make it a reality by watching INCEPTION on the first day itself!

It was Fosters Friday at Inox for me with INCEPTION movie. I walked over to Inox security check to get a clearance to watch the movie and I find few guys waiting in Fosters T Shirts. I walked over to them and they asked me if I have the “F”un row tickets and I showed them the same, and there started my Fosters Fun Experience. They escorted me to the Auditorium to my seats with a small break at Fosters Corner, where you get a “F”antastic “F”oot massage courtesy Fosters and only for “F”un row customers. Overall an awesome experience and it is truly “F”osters; where “F” is Fanstatic Friday with Fabulous Fun.

‘Inception’ is a movie about a bunch of super-brainy thieves who steal ideas from people by invading their subconscious. To do that they must firstly inject a powerful sedative into their systems and then hook them into a slick-sophisticated machine, that pretty much fits inside a small briefcase! Then you enter into someone else’s subconscious with an in-depth access to their dreams, their thoughts, their ideas and all other kind of signals that one’s central nervous system manages to trigger.

But that ain’t the best part; the real deal is what they’re capable of, once they’re inside.

Survival in the brutal market is all about killing out your competitors. You don’t need to spend billions to hire one of the best teams to beat out your competitors - when you have a team of super-brain thieves lead by Leonard Di Caprio to break inside the competitors’ mind right at that time when its very weak with emotional strain. It will just do your work of wiping out your competition!

This team doesn’t just stop at one dream but would go to any extent to achieve what they have decided to reach at in the first place. It’s a brilliant movie to watch, “Fosters” sponsoring the same for me. It just moved from brilliant to an incredible movie experience. Felt like a VIP sitting in “F” row that was especially for Fosters sponsored viewers and to top it all, my sister from Australia was visiting me. It was truly an Australian experience with “Fosters”, “Inox” and “Inception”.
